One great way to stay connected and involved with your alma mater is through volunteering your time. We depend on our alumni volunteers to be ambassadors of their Alumni Association and the University, and to help us connect with alumni in new and creative ways.

Alumni Engagement Volunteers

Class officers, class agents and Reunion committees serve as point people for their classes, help to coordinate Reunions, and organize regional events. If you have an idea or would like to get involved, please contact Kayla Frank, Assistant Director of Alumni Advancement, at kfrank@une.edu or (207) 221-4218 or Tim von Stetten, Reunion Gift Officer at tvonstetten@une.edu or (207) 221-4378.

Annual Fund Volunteers

The Annual Fund supports crucial programming at the University such as scholarship, Libraries and Special Collections and campus maintenance. Annual Fund volunteers may sign letters to their fellow alumni or make thank you calls or pledge reminder calls to build support for the Annual Fund. Please contact Anne Washburne, Associate Director of the Annual Fund, at awashburne@une.edu or (207) 221-4914.

Alumni Association Leadership

The UNE/St. Francis College Alumni Council and the Westbrook College Alumni Board of Directors work to connect alumni to one another and the University. Meeting four times a year, the groups learn from University leaders about the direction of UNE and create ways to build a stronger alumni network. If you would like to get involved in either of these groups, please contact Amy Haile at ahaile@une.edu or (207) 221-4228. For more information about the College of Osteopathic Medicine Alumni Association, please contact Patricia A. Kelley, M.S., Associate Dean of Constituent Services for COM, at pkelley@une.edu or (207) 602-2329.

Career Networking and Mentors

If you would like to volunteer as a resource to help students learn about your career field or sponsor an internship for a UNE student, please contact Jeff Nevers, Director of Career Services, at jnevers@une.edu or (207) 221-4231. For more information please visit the Career Services website.
